On Sunday the 7th of October, 15 hikers, 14 runners, and 6 dogs experienced a little piece of the magic of the commonage that exists behind Featherstone Brewery.
The hikers did a 5.5km loop and the runners a 7km loop that took them to parts of the southern commonage most locals don’t even know exist, through some exquisite indigenous forest to the ridge above the saddle of Featherstone Kloof, and back to the brewery for egg and bacon rolls, and a well-deserved cold one.
Don’t worry: we’ll do it again soon!
