Featherstone Brewery and Oasis Water (Grahamstown) are co-hosting this fantastic outdoor series. Get-out-and-run is a trail running series that caters for all ages and all levels of fitness. The first event was held at Langley Park on the road to Alicedale on the 18th March. Although skies were grey, the runners and their families braved the wet and the mud, and a total of 60 runners from age 5 to 65 took to the trails to breathe the fresh air, enjoy the beautiful views… and run and slip in the mud!
The next event will take place on Sunday the 8th of April. A 12km race and a 21km race will run from Featherstone Brewery to Thomas Baines nature reserve. Another family fun run of about 4km will take place on the reserve: a circular route that starts and finishes at the same spot that the 12km and 21km finish. The finish will be on the banks of Howison’s poort dam, and their will be food, activities and a prize-giving to look forward too.
